Summary of position:  

This position supports the Regional Coffee & Tea Coordinator and is focused primarily on team based training, merchandising, and follow through on all regional program elements. Key to new store development and remodels, this position will require extended visits away from home and frequent travel throughout the region. Most importantly this position will work as a team with the Allegro Training team, Coffee Bar Team Leaders and as a representative of Allegro ensure that all Allegro/Whole Foods Brand programs are executed.

Will Do:

1. Daily store based training including all Team Members, Buyers, and Team Leaders
2. New store development including design, small wares, hiring, training, product placement, ordering, merchandising, and team support
3. Extended visits away from home, up to 4 weeks or longer for new store openings
4. Daily Communication with Regional Coffee Coordinator, TL's, and TM's
5. Outstanding and trustworthy partnership with Bakery Coordinator and regional support team
6. Strong collaboration with store leadership to drive effective execution and maintain a win-win relationship
7. Adapt and react effortlessly and positively
8. Daily evaluation and feedback to Teams regarding Plan Execution including sales, margins, labor, merchandising, training, sanitation, marketing, and promotions
9. Monitor and maintain quality standards
10. Make sure that stores follow through and use national and regional resources
11. Executes all education and training information in a dynamic and persuasive manner utilizing solid interpersonal skills and on-the-job training for successful transfer of knowledge
12. Ensure maximum learning through repeatable, predictable systems and processes
13. Continuous focus on building and refining personal presentation and technical skills to ensure delivery of effective and persuasive training programs
14. Ensure implementation of Allegro’s retail merchandising strategy
15. Build and maintain positive, cooperative working relations with all Allegro teams.

Must Have/Be:

• Specialty Coffee and Barista skills required
• Knowledge of brewing standards, equipment, equipment maintenance and roasting procedures desirable
• Must have strategic organizational skills and be able to handle multiple projects simultaneously with high level of energy and passion for excellence
• Prompt and Deadline Oriented
• Articulate Communicator, able to easily lead large and small groups to consensus and understanding
• A trustworthy partner working closely with the Coordinator and Coffee Bar Teams
• A great merchandiser in all areas including Bulk, Packaged, and Point of Sale
• Very detail oriented, Proactive and Involved
• Friendly yet firm with program expectations and execution
• Ability to reflect positively as a representative of Allegro and WFM while traveling
• Understanding of Regional scope with flexibility to accommodate all stores within Region
• Computer Skills in Word, Excel, email management and IRMA systems
• Passport and legal status to leave the United States
• Previous management in a retail setting helpful
